About Us

Maison de Mahj is more than a game space. It’s a place to gather.

We’re two best friends who fell in love with American Mahjong and couldn’t wait to share it. On October 15, 2025, we opened Acadiana’s first dedicated mahjong studio right here in Lafayette: a cozy, curated space where players gather to visit while they play.

Whether you’ve never touched a tile or you’ve been calling “Mahjong!” for years, there’s a seat for you. Learn the game in Mahjong 101 and 102, practice with a teacher nearby in Guided Play, or grab a table at Open Play, a league or one of our special events.

Coming solo? Don’t worry, we’ll make introductions. Most of our regulars started exactly where you are.

We’re proud of what we’ve built and so excited to keep growing a community where every player feels at home.
